If I could build
a wall
ten feet tall,
between yours and mine,
I would...
Not quite so sure,
why my flora,
offends you so...
I understand I don't have
neat little bushes,
lined up like soldiers at attention,
not a branch out of place.
But what gives
you the right,
to break off branches
and yank out stems at their base?
All because they may have strayed
through the fence?
News flash-
that's what living plants do!
Perhaps I should plant
some Heracleum Mantegazzianum...
along the fence,
just for you?
That Giant Hog Weed would give
you a jolt,
you'd not soon forget,
just saying...
So, you rude little man,
consider yourself warned.
I'm fed up with your OCD
and passive aggressive behavior
towards my flora.
I'm normally not a violent type.
But this slow burn
you've got me on,
is about to reach a boil!

    I truly enjoyed reading this write this week because it seems to be so fitting of the world in countless aspects and perceptions. There are some very important trains of thought in this piece that could really prove Gandhi right in saying that we must be the changes we wish to see in the world. Where the author credits their inspiration for this piece also intrigues me, while that is not one of Frost's most known pieces a fair amount of people have come across it and it seems like each of those people gleans something entirely different from the piece than the last - or any other for that matter. And even if they do all have the same interpretations so many people run in such unique directions with their own personal flares and this week this piece has done an incredible job of that. Brenda has done a phenomenal thing by sharing this here with the PnQ community.
