Erosion

by Mortal Utopia   Mar 4, 2017

How are you?
I hope you’ve been well.
To be honest…
…I haven’t really been that well.
You once told me
that you sometimes feel
that the rain erodes us –
bit by bit, until we become nothing
but smudges on this paper world:
blotches of colour
or perhaps blotches of black and white.
But you know,
Some smudges, some memories,
still make me cry –
although perhaps only to make you erode
even quicker.

So beautiful, so very sad too. So much longing for your lost love-well done-

There is always such tenderness to your poems. A soft beauty.
Great word choice too and the flow is so smooth.
    Soulful yet lovely.
    Great write! :)

A very good piece. I am only sorry that I have no nominations left this week!

    All the best,
