heart ache at its finest

by Phil   Apr 7, 2017

Seeing her happy is my prerogative
even if it means I'm dying inside.
Seeing her bags packed at the door
brings me to tears which I quickly hide.

My sisters been my rock since I could remember
now I have to be hers and put on a brave face
because soon she'll be gone, so I need to say
'I love you' before she's gone without a trace.

Saying goodbye to siblings (or someone you love in general) is one of the hardest things to do...ever. In any situation. The heartbreak you are feeling can clearly be felt in your writing...and I'm so sorry that you're feeling this way. I wish you and your sister all the best and I hope you'll find peace and healing. Much love to you both.

    Phil,

I know the story behind this and it may just be something she needs to do to come back an even stronger person than before and hopefully a damn site more happy. I know that doesn't help you, but take comfort in the fact that she's facing life head on which, ultimately, might be good for her.
Send her my very best wishes and tell her to look after herself.

    Stay well, Phil,

    Ben
