Dark Matter

by CJ Maleney   Apr 10, 2017

Seek me not in daylight,
You will find I do not dwell there.
I'm the darker part in shadows,
I'm the fear and the despair.

You could find me on the moon,
But I will never see the sun,
The part that's in the dark and cold,
It doesn't matter how it's spun.

You could find me in an ocean,
But I've swum down so deep.
To that underwater chasm
Where the light can never reach.

I'm that dark part of your mind
The one that you deny
The part you try to lock away
But I'll be freed in time.

I'm the dark before creation
Before the sun's warming glow.
When the raindrops fall upon your head,

I'm the black within the rainbow

Craig, interesting write. I liked the flow and your context. I liked how you compared yourself to the darker side of all of us. Very cool-
