And So

by mossgirl19   Aug 24, 2017

And so, today we ended up
Splitting the rainbow in half
and became content
in the knowledge that
The colors of our memories
Will forever hold us in awe.

Maybe the sky didn’t hold us
Because it can’t stand
Something more
beautiful than it.

Or maybe relativity
dictates we are destined
to be strangers
as the sun is to the moon.

We are beautiful together
But even more picturesque apart…

And as our eyes met
For the last time
Deep in our silence
We know that…

We did not find
that pot of gold
because like the rainbow
There is truly not an end
to what we were.

Any relationship whether it's love, friendship, marriage between two people is like a rainbow, full of colors.

Sometimes, the same relationship which gives us the reason to be alive, starts suffocating us and makes it hard for us to breathe under the same sky. All of sudden, all those colors of that relationship wearing off from our life.
Sometimes, it's good to be strangers again. Sometimes, an end of a very close relationship brings respect in our eyes for each other.
Sometimes, being apart from each other, increases the value of a relationship in our heart.

The only thing that bothers us is colors or memories of that relationship.
All those beautiful moments, sentiments related to that relationship.

Moon gets all the glow from the sun, and yes they never get the chance or hardly gets a chance to see each other, but even if they look far from each other, there is always a certain beauty to that relativity between them. A perfect picturesque, Isn't it?

My friend, Not everyone finds the treasure of happiness in a relationship.
I Loved what you have tried to portray through this poem.
I loved every layer of a broken relationship you have shown us in each and every stanza.
Though you have split the rainbow in the beginning of this poem, yet it looks colorful till the end of it and all credit goes to you for using such beautiful imaginary throughout the poem.

    MG, what else to mention?
All I can say that there is truly not an end to the interpretation of what I just read.

The infinite is the prospective we look with awe! But we are really part of it.
