Totally clueless

by Dagmar Wilson   Oct 12, 2017

That moment when the picture reveals
we are having a boy
my second grandson in eighteen years,
I am speechless, another boy.

So used to girls
ribbons, bows, lots of drama
fuzzy slippers and teaparties,
putting on their first lipstick.

I can picture myself
walking through a store
looking for Spider-Man.
I am totally clueless.

A lovely piece that brought a smile to my face. You have portrayed the loving observations and feelings of a grandmother exquisitely. As someone who will never have the joy of being a grandma it gave me a nice warm feeling of a pleasure shared so thankyou for touching my heart. Milly x
