My Head Or My Heart

by Joseph Boadi   Feb 15, 2018

Addled I stare with squinted thought
As my heart and my steel head wrought
Once again my tale of love proceeds
My heart craves, as my adamant head recedes
Below my chest a happy glide
Whiles my head forms thunder-clouds on every side
My heart advices “ race across the sky and dash”
Yet logic insists if I do I’ll crash
Love love love Who do I trust
My head or heart in a dilemma am completely thrust

I honestly didn't like how it ended, because it was so interesting until the ending line. It is only a personal opinion, hehe. The poem is greatly rhymed and you have expressed your dilemma in a lovely poetic way.

Nicely done, quite the dilemma to be in. I think we start with our heart and our heads catch up.
