Saying Sorry

by Kitty Cat Lady   Apr 9, 2018

I'm sorry I didn't look after you more
That I caused irreparable damage
You were only trying to keep me warm
Now we're left with what we can salvage

I'm sorry I tried to straighten you out
When you longed to be wild and free
I shouldn't have blown so hot and cold
I didn't want to be a banshee

I'm sorry you need to punish me now
With your 'fifty shades of grey'
I'll always remember how you were
In your glorious shining heyday

I'm sorry I treated you badly
I should have taken more care
But please know that whatever I've done
I'll always love you ... my hair.
