Fade to Blue - Lost in the Sky

by Larry Chamberlin   Jun 12, 2018

You never walked out on me
stayed in the very next room
still we lost sight each the other
with a quiet like unto the tomb.

How two people will drift apart
is not new in this world of woe
yet remains a great mystery
that you don’t even see them go.

This is such an amazing and relatable poem. The way you captured the emotions of seeing someone you were once so close with drift away before you even realise what's happening is absolutely beautiful :)

There is a genuine and unsettling sadness to this piece, Larry, not least because of how many people succumb to this deadly and silent assassin.
