There's a name for grief.

by silvershoes   Jun 22, 2018

They say healing is in the forgetting, so I tear the wound open when it starts to close.

It doesn’t take much.

I can’t finish saying your two syllable name out loud before my voice cracks and my eyes fog over.

I didn’t know what heartbreak was until losing you, not because you wanted to leave,
but because you didn’t.

I needed to cry tonight, so I instantly clicked on this poem. Your baby’s in a good place. He’s always alive in your poetry.
