No Words

by Paul Hirst   Jul 12, 2018

If only your words were falling leaves
How brightly my Autumn bonfires would burn
If snowflakes fell as thoughts would my mind be blanketed and virgin no you in my Winter
Spring flowers perfume to mask the scent of loneliness
Summer breeze gentle as warm lips upon my face but a fleeting memory

I love the seasonal imagery and metaphors here Paul and it's different from your usual style. Nicely done! :-) x

    Hi Paul,

I really like your piece, which holds so much imagery. Just one thing -
"blanketed and virgin no you in my winter" maybe have another look at this part, as could be a word missing or typo.
    But great poem for sure
    Michael :)

I like the way you've written this poem using a series of smilies. After an argument separation brings with it loneliness and pained reflection.

    Thanks for sharing.
