Inside a Daydream

by William Mae   Aug 17, 2018

If I showed up inside your day dream,
As I suspect I do,
Would it be a mundane setting,
With no excitement to pursue.

If I showed up inside your daydream,
As I suspect I do,
Would we waste it fully knowing,
We have no other time to use.

Would we have boring conversation,
With no thrill or racy theme,
Would we not take full advantage,
Of the dance inside the dream.

A chance to live, laugh and love,
Every moment we are there,
Let our bodies bond in passion,
In the only place we share.

For what we’re given we are given,
Fate declares that this is true,
So you show up inside my daydream,
I know that you suspect you do.

Well, I can't say much about dreams shared by two people
for it has many ways and colors it can make it to be..
hope that made sense, take care and keep penning

The first stanza instantly hooked me, and the rest kept me hooked throughout.
This poem I feel can be read in two ways,
    Prehaps someone inlove with another?
Or two people departing, either after a friendship or relationship.
    Very beautiful write.
