A heart of cold

A heart of cold

It’s a sad tale to tell, but, many in this world know it well. When they caught your eye, your heart says; my, oh, my, how sly. They slowly sow the seeds of love, surely, they were sent from above, hidden, inside a velvet glove.

The days become like being in a field of love, and bliss, the mind becomes flooded with the memory of the first kiss. I am comforted by my remembrance of my wishes at the Well, wow, now they ring my bell!

As I sing my song of what could go wrong, a cold wind blows through my soul, it is then that I realize that they are gone, I thought they had a heart of gold, but, it was a heart of cold. As said; be careful what you wish for, my wish for you is , that it will be the right one who says; I do!

So totally agree Ken. Be careful what you wish for I remember them words well. People sure know how to manipulate and play the game. God does not like ugly and he knows where our heart is. On the other hand I do believe in karma. Fantastic write goes in my favorite box. Hugs to You

Thanks Dag, I had one of those events, the difference was, that I had to leave her, after finding out, that she was seeing someone else. The pain was very great, as it was my desire to marry her. One of the things that had attracted me to her was; her being a College Graduate with a Master's Degree, and me with a four year High School Education. Opposites attract, but not always stick. Hugs back to you!
