Heavy, Part III

by Poet on the Piano   Jan 24, 2019

Everything settles before me -
my breath,
the aging snow,
the fear that fogs
an anxious heart.

My chest constricts
as I wait for him to
ambush my peace

but I rest here,
and despite stillness,
am not frozen yet.

This sequel is chilly I agree. I could not comment on each of them, because whenever I read one I am left in a swamp of emotions. Each one speaks of trye feeling that longer , not only to you but to everyone who reads them!!

Can I say I became your fan? :)

Mary Anne, I have been reading your series of these with great interest. This last one doesn't disappoint, another stellar write. So much unsaid in your visuals, loved it!
