Alphabetametaphorically

by CJ Maleney   Feb 21, 2019

My daughter thinks I'm stupid
that I don't know my A,B,C
It gives me no end of satisfaction
For I write more than she can dream

I often make mistakes
Because my mind is faster than my hands.
Especially when I'm fumbling
Hey! Come on I'm just a man!

Sometimes I'll write of science
Sometimes I'll play with math
Often I'll write some stupid stuff
Just to get a laugh

I write things that make me sad or smile
I write write things to take a stock and tally
I write a lot of weird and wonderful things
Though it's often meta-phoric-ally
