Becoming my enemy

by Rey Severs   Aug 4, 2019

Sweet as sugar, strong as spice,
You hurt me once, I fool you twice,
Unlock my darkness, twist my fate,
Reject my love, to welcome hate.

Take my heart and crush it so,
I'm far too worthy, and this you know,
Push my limits, and watch me fall,
I am stupid, you know it all.

But I am not stupid, you know this true,
For look what I did, what happened to you,
Don't force an enemy, for I once was a friend,
Don't entice my demons, unless you wish for your end.

Rhyme and metre spot on and a dynamic rebellious theme to boot. Loved it Milly x

Ooh ... this is brilliant! Such defiance and grit interlaced with a grave warning. It's dark but great and you've pitched the pace and rhyming so well. Well done Rey!
