Dark Web

by Cantchangeme   Nov 17, 2019

A black screen fades to light
And draws the text to the eye
A tear it does draw veiled by night
That in the most part tells a lie

Stabs the heart or may it might
Should this heart but give a care
It’s own beat drums the will to fight
And strength to carry its cross to bare

As grim dusk yields to the new morn
These dark web dreams come to fade
A gift to me, a rose cold to the dawn
Each petal a virus your hand made

Strong, dark, ominous piece. I liked how you put the dark web and viruses together with human emotion.
