The Week of Yearning

by Tanya Southey   Mar 11, 2020

If I had five minutes
to talk to you
I would tell you
that all the stars
are still in the sky
and that the sun
is still dependable
in how it rises;
the moon appears
and disappears
with the same regularity
it always did
and the grass pushes
itself out of darkness
towards the light

And still I miss you.

    Hello Tanya,
Life goes on but no one to share it with - 'And I still miss you.' Sorrow personified in five little words.
A sad but lovely poem, tenderly composed with a powerful end. Much praise for this one. Special.
    Regards, Tony.
