Stir Crazy

by Hellon   Apr 13, 2020

The spider takes up residence
in the corner...

spinning, spinning.

An hour goes by
as I sit transfixed.

He looks at me
daring to continue...

I stare back,
daring him not to.

We reach a truce
as I put the broom down in surrender
happy to watch a masterpiece unfold.

Finally...

he looks satisfied

and...

likewise, I am too

so now...

we both wait in anticipation...

Beautiful! I love the understanding that seemed to pass between you and the spider, the admiration of its work, and this "truce".
