my skies, your sea.

by prasanna   May 6, 2020

these nights, the air is in a drunken stupor,
borrowing spirit from our wine, daring
our ghosts to leap from imagination to
reality. there will be no respite tonight,
you remark. moonlight simmers in your
eyes, i gaze towards the naked sky –
the moon wanes in embarrassment,
the stars follow, leaving satellites as
new fledgling stars. with each breath,
i taste you more. seashells that hum
of the sea adorn your neck, poetry
builds a bridge between your tongue
and lips – a place i've decided,
should i ever jump, would make
the prettiest death. but, i would not
burden you – a walking cemetery that
houses your soul and the dead, with
such an unkindness. yet, here you are,
still anchored to the living. you’re an
otherworldly being, greater than the
infinite sum of your parts.

i wish to become
undone by your hand,
your sea lapping at my
soul, pulling me into
your eternity.

Some of your lines are magical, some of them over do the others, it's like your words are competing to describe this character in the finest way possible. How elegant and how deep. The vividness is always a spot on.

    A very inspiring piece.

You need to remove "be" before become I think.
