Sham

by Sunshine   May 24, 2020

All that was once meaningful
and destined, has lost all meaning.
You redefined yourself with mystic spells
that changed the course of my palm lines.
Not much has been left of me for others,
nothing has been left of me for myself
you've consumed me all- to the bone.
Today, I no longer wear my flesh
just to warm up my soul
Today, I speak your silent
yet roaring language
I utter your cryptic
yet translucent words;

this whole world of mine is fake
only you are real, all else is sham.
I've been born as a wandering planet
that has invaded the pace of light
just to find a path to reach you,
everything around me, this mere void,
it's all figures of speech filling out spaces.
I know I have never been whole before
I've always been lonesome pieces of you,
carrying crumbles of your touch
living in the past, and among the dust,
I survived by miracle,
a celestial object that always knew
that it belonged to you;
fated to die in your orbit.
