The Mocks

by Sunshine   Oct 10, 2020

I forgot you
but my broken lines
remind me of your vows.
I forgot you
but it's hard not to remember you;
you're that cold snap that seeps through the cracks of frail souls.
And though I no longer dream,
but my eyes see your face
in the fragility of every sun
that silently flickers
behind the smokes
of winter mornings..

    Rania, loved this. This person mocking them, never letting them forget who they are.

    This is so wonderfully written, it reminds of Pablo Neruda's style of writing. (Meant as a compliment of course)
