Winter Jasmine

by Maple Tree   Jan 3, 2021

Snowflakes hover
under a peek a boo sun
as dawn whispers good morning.

Hint of Jasmine wafts
as my senses yearn
for a romantic spring.

Violet colored petals
mate with locks of grey -
reminding my soul,
how beautiful it feels

to be young and free.

I love it! The imagery is so delicate and beautiful. Winter Jasmine's are some of my favourites, not least because of their scent, but their brightness, which is an odd thing to find in Winter.
    Truly stunning read :)

I remember this prompt. I love the smell of Jasmines. I also love how you have woven it into a hope of Winter love. Having a fair amount of grey myself, I understand the locks of his and hers coming together. All I would say, why wait for Spring when the Winter fire is burning, baby!
