Goodbye

by Maud   Mar 9, 2021

I feel the wind on my neck,
the rain on my skin,
cool and wet,
soaking it all in.

I feel the raw, deep rooted emotion.
poured out, washed out, settling in the ground.

I hear the sound, of your voice,
squirming through my brain,

I feel insane,

but not crazy enough to need you again.

I really like the 1st stanza, its rhyme scheme rocks! Then again in the last 3 lines. Overall this filled me with hope.
