Little Prince

by ddavidd   Apr 7, 2021

I wrote millions of poems for this little rose
and they still are not enough.

I climbed stars
in the ladder of these verses,
inhabited planets
in such rhymes.

I populated the earth
with the visions of trees, undergrowth and roses.

I dreamed of man
and man dreamed of colours, music, and sculptures
and painted and sculpted the world
and she dreamed me
and the poetry of a single rose..

Roses of the garden are innumerable
therefore my verses are forever
for they are "numerable,"
and never enough.

I really love the little prince story. This is an interesting take, very different message too!
