2021 NaPoWriMo #22 Earth Day

by M. Rene'   Apr 23, 2021

Oh to be more than just a wallflower,

to open the eyes of the world

just by coming into bloom -

and then again in the wilting.

It may be Earth day once a year

today may be the day, but I’d love

to be more than a lesson learned

and instantly forgotten again.

If this is going to be how we are

and where we go, then we all

must take our actions in to

consideration at all times.

Otherwise, there won’t be

any wildflowers blooming

across hills or valleys, there

won’t even be wallflowers trying

to make a difference.
