Shoreline

a stone
alone tried to poke
out from the tide/

it's most jagged
acrid corner could
almost pierce the surface
but just not quite/

above it
to the right
a tree branch dipped
toward the water
from it's heights/

an oak's longest
strongest arm
tried to
pierce the surface
but just not quite/
