Overrun

by Xaque   Feb 11, 2022

We watched rats with fleshless tails disintegrate
from the streetlight/

Millions of them in one exertion
make for desertion from signs of our movement/

Scurry into the stillness disembodied and stupid/

Nothing can stop the innocent feeding/

Acrid nails scratch cement and never relent
their bites/

Their bites demolished bodies/

Their bites had strewn red juice askew
sinew in view/

Blood from their bites -
we knew
a charm of our doom/

Placid dark veils the shimmer of acid red hues/

Their bites
illuminate the violence/

Demonic vibrations induce a
miscarraige of our hope and courage/

It’s
ailing
awful
horrific/

We run from the vermin
as they emerge like vicious ephemeral animals
haunting the wreckage/

Wow there are the touches of absolute brilliance in this with some smilingly grammar mistakes.
though the brilliance is not all through. It is blinking.
/are a little disturbing only because they are unusual.
Wish to read more of yours.
