This is so simple and so true. I would rather you finished it like this. "still. I do not know." I know it seems contradict your first and second sentences, but it doesn't. Those " knows" refer to knowledge, this know is about indecision, uncertainty. And using know in that context give some deeper other mode to your piece. Only my opinion. I might be wrong. I hope you don't mind my intrusion.
