10 to 1

Ten To One

Ten men walk to an uncertain end,
All bonded by belief but none had a friend.
Ten were to die the same way one by one,
Ten were to choke and burn until it was all done.
Ten men had families and life they could trust,
Ten would die because of a man’s race blood lust.
Who and what did these ten men do to make one hate so,
What did ten Rabbis say to make them this hell’s spawn a foe?
Ten men did nothing to promote this demise at this butcher’s hand,
But ten men’s body will be torn apart by one master plan.
In the end when it all adds up in the books of heaven and hell,
I will say this, every one century this story I will have to retell.
