Shadows

by Heather M Craig   Oct 31, 2004

Everything she does,
they can do better.
Everything she thought she was
is no longer pieced together.
She's left in the shadows
of everyone else.
no one one will ever know
the gifts within herself.
The shadows have taken her in
while her voice is muted
and there she goes again
with those bad thoughts in her head.
The pain in her eyes,
the bleeding of her heart,
no one cares why
her world is tore apart.
Everyone has left her behind,
the shadows is all she's got:
by day standing in the back of the line
and cutting herself at night.
Stolen by the shadows
if they only cared...
that's the way the story goes,
if only she was here, her gifts could be shared.
