Winter Night

by Knight_of_Blackrose   Jan 18, 2005

I'm trying to think of something to write
On this frigid Winter night
Windows frosted over much like my heart
This ice is blocking me from showing my true art.

The dull flame from my candle devours the wick, its' time running out, too much like my own
The smoldering flame can not thaw out my emotions.

I lounge here, in my chair
I can not chisel this frozen tundra from my being.
Trapped in a fatal decline....someone save me from my mind.

I sit here on this frigid Winter night
Trying with all my might to think of something to write

I wish I could find in myself something that was actually right.
Unconfused and real... something tangible.
All I find is a sorry excuse for a reality... things are too real to be surreal any longer.

I sit here on this bitter cold Winter night.....
Tell me, have I found something to write?

Wow Aaron. Your writing has gotten much better! This is a very nice piece. I saw you mentioned in one of the discussions as "most imporved," so I wanted to see if it was you or another Aaron, but regardless I want to commend you for improving your skills,
    Much love,
