My smile hides the truth

by happy days   Jan 25, 2005

My smile hides the truth
My lips they speak the lies
Yet people think I’m happy
But they can’t see inside

My wrists show my weakness
My heart feels the pain
Yet people think I’m happy
But they can’t see inside

My wall is covered in photos
My poems talk of despair
Yet people think I’m happy
But they can’t see inside

My life is never easy
My days are always bad
Yet people think I’m happy
But they can’t see inside

If people really listened
To what we had to say
Then maybe we could save
A suicide each day
