Praying For Life

by SweetDreamer   Jan 27, 2005

Life sits at at a stand-still,
the broken record will not stop,
the thoughts will render me helpless,
until they are certain that I'll drop,

The tears now fall freely without slowing,
the fears of death are continually growing,
I wander clumsily down life's beaten path without knowing,
In what direction I seem to be going,

My friends provide no helping hand,
my family convinces themselves that I'm fine,
I, myself, try to live in denial,
till I can no longer walk the line,

In my mind I have choices,
to let the demons make their last move, or stay strong,
the first seems like the easiest option,
because I've been praying for life much too long...
