Stupidity Or Salvation

by Robert   Feb 3, 2005

The first and It is almost time,
then the second and I feel the crime.
The third and the air grows thin with despair,
then the forth I wonder what’s really out there.
The fifth and they lay me where they laid people before,
then the sixth and some one calls for more.
The seventh and the blood fall from my chest,
eighth and I wonder if it is all for the best.
Ninth they said it would happen so fast,
tenth is now ended and the pain still last.
Eleventh and my eyes grow hazy and I can no longer see,
for it is midnight now and as a sacrifice for my lord I am set free.

Very good poem Robert. I liked it how you made it into a count down. (I'll have to use it sometime ;) ) Well done.

By the way, I can expand my mind beyond sadness and grief, but whether or not I choose to write about it is my choice. And the poem that you commented in with that was about some trouble I was having with a friend of mine, not depression.

So anyway, I do not understand this poem.
