Memory Within the Dawn

by HOLLY ARMER   Feb 11, 2005

Just let go...don't hold on.
I'll be a memory within the dawn.

Someone you knew for only a while.
An enchanting girl that made you smile.

Fate is cruel, we're not meant to be.
You want her, you don't want me.

But being your friend causes me pain.
Seeing you with her drives me insane.

So hug me once, lets say goodbye.
Pay no attention to the tears I cry.

Just let me go, please don't hold on.
And I'll be a memory within the dawn.

*I know this could be better, I'm fighting writers block and this was kinda forced. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

It was good, but since u asked, I say that we all sometimes take the "be-me" and "fight-plight" route. You know what I'm saying? Simple words that rhyme that come to our heads and we just use them, and after the work is done, we think: Well, it's not bad, but it's no Shakespere either. LOL.
