Painting Our Love

by HOLLY ARMER   Feb 11, 2005

I'm painting a picture of the love we share.
A colorful canvas that's no longer bare.

Red for the passion that burns in your eyes.
Purple to show loyalty, there'll be no lies.

Yellow for the sunshine that chases the rain.
Blue for the sad times that causes us pain.

Orange for the laughter and memories made.
Green for the trust that will never fade.

One more color and my painting is through.
Pink for the love that I feel for you!

I do enjoy simplistic poems that flow as well as this one did. I am a slave to needing to tell extravagant stories, so I am not always good at doing this "flowing" works. Nicely done.
