What If I Was To...

by Heather M Craig   Feb 26, 2005

What if the seclusion was to disapear
for a brief moment of time to pause.
What if I was to pass off my fears
and show you my feeling of awe?

Would you grow aghast
and turn towards the other way,
to never swivel back
and blow our friendship away?

If I brought my words forward
and built it up on the table,
would you feel awkward
or believe it's only a fable?

If I was to risk the alliance
with the passing ideas of lust,
would you give me a chance
or watch me turn to rust?

If I was to bring forth my love to you,
I can only wish to have the strength too.
