Nobody Knows

Just another teenage depression poem lol----

The flames from my soul
are put out by the tears.
The silence of my voice
proceeds through the years.

Self-destructing pain,
the smiles of disguise,
protection of your happiness,
the concealer of my eyes.

The construction of your hurt
along side to your burdensome weight,
life lives upon my shoulders
and it will until I reach the golden gates.

Buried deep within you,
lost all track of me.
Peel away the smiles, I'm crying inside
and nobody knows it but me.

    heather this is amazing im lost for words what a wonderful poem you wrote those 2 lines " the flames from my soul are put by my tears" were so strong heather your an amazing writer i wish i could say that about myself but you can and you have talent. truly heart felt. keep it real
