No one

I could sigh, and no one would listen.
I could cry, and no one would see.
I could give up on all my hopes and dreams,
and no one would try to stop me.

I could bleed, and no one would help me.
I could need, and no one would pay.
I could turn around and leave this town,
and no one would ask me to stay.

I could pout, and no one would notice.
I could shout, and no one would stare.
I could lie down here and die right now,
and no one would even care.
