Vacantly Awaiting

by HOLLY ARMER   Apr 19, 2005

I sit among the chaos, silent and serene.
Lost within myself, living in a dream.

Caught within a trance, unable to relate.
Slipping into time, holding hands with fate.

Stumbling over hope, as I cleave to sanity.
I melt within the sun, forfeiting reality.

Vacantly awaiting for the world to fade away.
As I long for the past to take away today.
