Changing For Society

by Heather M Craig   Apr 21, 2005

Peering at the fragile image
and she seems so desolate,
particulary from the tears
that construct from society hate.

I encounter her presence and I feel nothing
but the flaming warmth from her soul.
Although from the depths of her heart,
obscurity has begun to take control.

The purified beauty flows within her
but no one takes it's notice,
so she destroys the unseen
with each razor blade kiss.

Everything she taught herself to be
has vanished from thee eye.
I long to be accepted with society
even if I shall live my life a lie.

--don't worry, my loves, I'm never changing despite their words. Just wanted to write it all out.--

I could relate to this poem Heather, its a great piece. I found it deep, but not overly open probably due to its length but at the same time and on the same note I think that in itself made this poem more effective :o) Well done darling stay smiling
