Organized Conformity

by Heather M Craig   May 26, 2005

--my opinion based poem on my beliefs of religions, worship, and Christ.--

Churches on numerous streets
consumed by a myraid of religions,
Each group strung high with the belief
they live God's desired intention.

Following the good book's every word
as they rise into their own being,
Ironically falling into conformity
with their standards at uniformed believing.

One after one, descending into worship
unto the solitaire god of comfort and crave,
many with false understanding
with only the hopes to be saved.

I've did my studies on religion and Bible
and I believe in them not.
Neither do I pray or worship Christ
but instead, I talk to my best friend, God.

Heather M Craig.

--Not my best, I just wanted to justify my beliefs.--

I like the fact you simplified your beliefs from such an indepth description. [I make no sense most of the time]. I respect your beliefs and i respect you and your poetry :)
