Behind Every Rose

by Heather M Craig   Jun 5, 2005

The obsession for a body full of grace
matches the reconstructions for the flawless face
for many dreamers seek to win beauty's race.

Those who camoflauge the years of pain and trial
with repetitive, artificial smiles
seek to impress, engulfed, in their denial.

The ones who've traveled from God's hands
give sweet thoughts on demand
for they live their lives in remorse land.

The society that's bled from solitaire aid
when existed wounds, they claim to be remade
but still, they will forever remain afraid.

With the title set at reborn,
thou shall never forget the days of forlorn
for within every rose lies a thorn.

Damn, u are outta sight! You write very well for a 16-year-old. Im old, and i have refined my style through the years, but I doubt I was as good as you at 16.
