The Game of Life

One of my more recent poems... Please take a few seconds to comment or vote! I'm still a beginner, and I would love some insight! Thank you very much...

This world is full of hatred,
There is no peace or trust,
People turn against each other,
People aren't fixing what is unjust,

Instead of finding solutions,
To the issues we have today,
We think that we don't need to interfere,
And that things will get better someday

But if we chose to just stand here,
And watch our world crumble right before our eyes,
You'll regret that you did nothing to help,
And chose to be unwise

This world is filled with uncertainty,
No one is the same,
Everyone has their own opinions,
And everyone always chooses other people to blame

We as humans are unpredictable,
No one ever knows what we are truly thinking,
So with that said there is a lack of trust,
We don't feel safe with anything

Sometimes we are depressed,
And we feel as if we are all alone,
But attitude changes the aspect on everything,
Still people view their problems as condone

Sometimes we can be frustrated,
And feel ever so agitated,
But your attitude also drives people away,
And that can leave you devastated

Sometimes we can be jealous,
Filled with feelings of envy,
You want more than you can have,
And you think to yourself "Why couldn't that have been me?"

Emotions are hard to control,
Because most of us don't know how to express it,
But once you learn how to do so,
Your actions you can outwit

But I cannot tell you what to do,
I cannot always hold your hand,
I wont always be here to guide you,
So you need to take the stand

We do not live forever,
So we should try to live to the fullest extent,
Give everything a chance and be yourself,
That will make your life more well spent

So take heed in what I tell you,
For I only speak with optimism,
Life is wonderful despite what you may think,
Don't live your life filled with pessimism

There is no losing in this game of life,
But when it is all said and done,
If you have a positive strategy and attitude,
In this game you will have won
