The Tale of Lies

by VampyraKi†   Jul 22, 2005

With a bullet in the shoulder
you thought my life was over
he took out his knife
and saved my life

and how did you repay him
throw him in jail
for keeping me here
prosecute him without bail

he said i was going to stay in this world
then told me even like that i was a pretty girl
he held my hand and kept me company
while you all ran away from me
he wiped away all of my tears
and helped me get rid of my fears

and now he is there paying the price
for the kindness and help no one ever gets
look at his eyes they prove he didn't pull the trigger
i tell you again it was the darn nigger
tall and broad with evil eyes
scars on his hand and a limp in his gait
he leaned to one side as if he couldn't stand straight

the judge looked at me as if i were crazy
young girls tell tall tales stop lying miss
or else i will tell the police to arrest you
now tell me what this man did to you

so i looked at him and spoke out true
i told you once but you didn't listen
arrest me for telling the truth
imprison a innocent man and i will kill you

then as i thought i was taken away
to a dark prison cell never to see day

I liked this poem, but I didn't exactly like the word nigger used...It just seems to rub me the worng way for some reason, but other than that it was a awesome poem! VERY well written and very descriptive
