Poetic Destiny

by HOLLY ARMER   Aug 22, 2005

Words left hanging
dead in the air
Broken stanza's
glamorizing despair

Train of thought
jumping the track
Syllables crumble
fading to black

Stuttering, tripping
over the flow
Shattering imagery
as I go

Scribbling lines
with a broken pen
Not giving up
determined to win

Fighting the block
and breaking free
For poetry is
my destiny!
