Tormented Dreams

Screams pierce the night
ripping me from my sleep
I'm drowning in my sanity
falling in too deep

Can't keep hold of anything
least of all my mind
Always losing things
I was never meant to find

But I continue looking
for what I used to know
Wondering if this pain inside
will ever begin to show

Just trying to hide away
for this battle I can't win
As the never ending torment
takes hold of me once again

I feel the depth surround me
shadow's taking control
Losing all the fragments
that once made me whole

Tears stream down my face
I feel it drawing near
Cast into insomnia
by unsurmountable fear

Weeping into the night
I\'m begging for release
Watching as this chaos
spreads like a disease

Overcome by madness
will this ever end
As I slip into the darkness
that has now become my friend
