Come and go.

by Steven Beesley   Sep 29, 2005

Come and go:

Come into this life, we are all bare.
We grow up with so many pains,
making many mistakes along the way.
Stumble and fall, yet full of foolish pride.

We toil and work till we all die.
All the pleasures of a mis-spent youth, all of us will journey much along the same route.
To love, to lust and hate along the way.

Our greed, our sorrows and fame will never stay.
Wealth and riches many will seek to find.
Yet in the end, it's not worth a single dime.
So little really are we given time.

To grow and search for the meaning of life?
Yet we all squander, we all commit crimes.
Our souls so tainted and so abused, all our callous, selfish and shallow views.

We shall all ponder to think from time to time;
why we venture in cycles, really nothing new?
In the end it's all just the same,
we must depart with nothing but a blank stare!
