The way it can go.

by Bluey!   Oct 14, 2005

My mother tucked me in that night
Kissed my head and turned out the light.
She smiled at me and wished me sweetdreams.
I later woke up, when I heard her screams.
I heard a ruckus, some sort of fight.
I walked up and turned on the light.
I saw him there, big and strong.
Hitting my mother, with his belt so long.
Mother screamed and cried, I ran to hide.
Father was angry, best stay away.
Suddenly quiet, did he go his way?
I snuk up and peeked, shaking my head.
I could'nt believe it, my mother was dead.

Very sad poem. It's horrible how things like this happen every day.

Great poem. No errors, subtle and to the point, and the flow was real good. 5/5 once again.
